Just because you're rich doesn't mean you're a genius. You know who has trouble believing that? Rich people.

A new study looked at which people are most likely to exaggerate how much they know about something, and maybe this isn't shocking, but rich guys are the most likely to do it.

The researchers asked people to rate their knowledge on a bunch of different math topics. Three of the topics were things they totally made up: "Proper numbers," "subjunctive scaling," and "declarative fractions."

Men were more likely than women to pretend they knew about those subjects. Rich people were more likely than poor or middle class people, and North Americans were more likely than people in other parts of the world.

And young people were more likely than older people to fake it as well. So basically, if you meet a young, rich guy in the U.S. or Canada, don't believe a word he says.
