Quiet Riot is Ready for Rockford

September 3rd at The Rockford Speedway, it is on. Legendary hard rock band Quiet Riot will headline a night that Rockford will never forget!

March of 1983, Quiet Riot did something no other hard rock/heavy metal band ever did. PLUS they learned about this while they were in Rockford! They took over the top spot on the Billboard album charts. Quiet Riot jumped over The Police, Michael Jackson, to take the #1 spot. Think about that for a minute.

I went to see Quiet Riot a few weeks ago in Kankakee, IL, and man were they awesome. All of your Quiet Riot favorites, from a band that is a well oiled machine. These guys sound great, play their hearts out, and bring the party.

Here's the weird thing for me, I have been a fan for years. Still remember the when and where I heard the Metal Health album for the first time. But I can honestly say, I've never really paid attention to the drumming. (Sorry Frankie)  Now that I've been in contact with Frankie the past few months and have got to know him better, I found myself so focused on the drums. Holy crap man, it's like John Bonham had a little "heavy metal" brother. Big deep groove, keeps the flow jump pounding along and shows why Quiet Riot is still alive and kicking.

So you combine some great food, a few drinks, and have Quiet Riot be your soundtrack for the evening, that is how you do Labor Day weekend.
