Metallica Plays Metro Centre Jan 1993
Super Bowl Sunday, Jan 31 1993 Metallica played The Rockford Metro Centre.
As we continue our Eagle, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame month. This weekend we look at two of the big "heavies". Black Sabbath, and The Mighty METALLICA.
The Cowboys, The Bills, Michael Jackson at halftime, and Metallica for 2 hours at The Metro Centre. It was an insane day.
They opened up the building early so people could watch the Big Game. I was lucky enough to score a "Snake Pit" pass. So I was in the middle of the stage for the show.
This part of the tour was known as "Nowhere Left to Roam", nice guys real nice.
Here is what Metallica played that night in Rockford:
- Enter Sandman
- Creeping Death
- Harvester Of Sorrow
- Welcome Home (Sanitarium)
- Sad But True
- Of Wolf And Man
- The Unforgiven
- Justice Medley
- Bass Solo
- Guitar Solo
- Through The Never
- For Whom The Bell Tolls
- Fade To Black
- Master Of Puppets
- Seek & Destroy
- Whiplash
- Nothing Else Matters
- Wherever I May Roam
- Am I Evil?
- Last Caress
- One
- Battery
Here is the entire show. They sold tickets in the "taper section" for this show, here is some pretty great video. See if you can find me in the Snake Pit.
