Metallica Drive-In Concert Movie Coming To Sears Centre

The Sears Centre will host the Metallica drive-in concert movie.

People and businesses are finding different creative ways to live in our new normal. An idea that has really paid off is the return of the drive-in movie theater. It's been huge. I took my family and it was a blast. If you haven't yet, I definitely recommend it.

There are traditional locations but some pop-up spots have started too. One of those temporary locations is the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates. A short drive down I-90 from Rockford.

Some bands have taken the drive-in model and converted it for a show. Some have played live in that set-up. Others are releasing a concert film that combines them both. Metallica is the latest to announce they are putting one out.

According to Metallica.com,

"We’re recording a concert to appear at your local drive-in theater! We’ll be the first rock band to be featured in the Encore Drive-In Nights series, with a full set screening August 29th at hundreds of drive-in and outdoor theaters across the United States."

All I got to say is, "I'm in."
