Major Cherry Valley Commercial Project Put On Hold Until 2020

The original plans confirmed this business to open on early October 2019 but officials confirmed there will be a lengthy delay.

After the big announcement that Rockford would be getting a Mill's Fleet and Farm, many got excited. The new store is supposedly much larger with a bigger selection than another store with a similar name in town. This news though makes us wonder if Fleet Farm will ever actually arrive. MyStateline.com reports there won't be any action until 2020.

In an official statement to WTVO, Fleet Farm officials said,

We are very interested to bring a new Fleet Farm to Cherry Valley.  At this time, it would be premature to confirm specific details, including timelines.

To me, this comes across the same way our parents said "we might do that" when suggesting what weekend plans as a kid. Read more here.
