Loved & Valued, How All Students Feel in This Rockford Teacher’s Classroom
Congratulations to our new Teacher of the Week who is making a big difference in the lives of the children in her classroom.
Sending a child into the building for their first year of school is a task done with hopes for many things. Will they be alright away from home, will they make friends, will they feel safe and loved and will they like their teacher?
97ZOK's Teacher of the Week is Mrs. Lexi Plesic from Christian Life School
For many families, Lexi delivers a "yes" on all those questions above. She was nominated for Teacher of the Week by Ashley Benton, who has a son in Lexi's class. Ashely writes,
"Mrs. Plesic goes above and beyond to make the kids feel so loved. She has been with the school for 8 years, and everyone speaks so highly of her. She runs our schools book fair, Christmas store, and most other extra activities. She gives 100% of herself to the school and the students. She wants every one of her students to feel loved and valued equally. As I drop my son off to his classroom, I see a lot of other students she had in previous years coming to hug her and say hi because they loved her as their teacher so much. This is my sons first year of school and I could not be any more THANKFUL that Mrs. Plesic is my son’s teacher. She makes school so fun and enjoyable. My son is so excited to wake up every day and go see her. We are so incredibly blessed."
As 97ZOK's Teacher Of The Week, Lexi Plesic was surprised with a beautiful floral arrangement from Broadway Florist and a delicious cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes. You can nominate your favorite teacher right here.
