As 2020 was drawing to a close, the Boone County K-9 unit suffered a tragic loss. Deputy Robert Rosenkranz's vehicle was struck by a drink driver, while on the side of the road on I-90. The beloved K-9 Loki, was killed in the crash.

Reading everything on social media about this K-9 officer has been heart breaking. Everyone LOVED this dog. There has been an outpouring of support for the Boone County K-9 unit, and people wondering how they can donate/help...Well here you go.

There is a memorial t-shirt being put together to honor, Loki. This proceeds will benefit the Boone County K-9 unit. Donations are being collected to offset the cost of producing the shirt. I sit on the board for the "Friends of the Rockford Police K-9 Unit" and have learned that when it comes to vehicles and obtaining a new dog, these things are NOT cheap. So helping out and donating towards this Loki t-shirt, would be a big thing.
