Local Establishment to be Featured on Reality TV Show

The Copperstone Inn, a bed and breakfast in Rockton, will be featured on the Travel Channel.

I have many dreams and one of them is some day opening my own bed and breakfast. I love all things hospitable and I love when I have guests in my own home. I do my best to keep things neat, fresh sheets and towels stocked and enough food to feed the hungriest of visitors in my house. I even keep extra toothbrushes for those unexpected guests that may forget their own.

It must take a lot to own a bed and breakfast, and those at the Copperstone Inn are now getting national attention according to WIFR.

The Travel Channel has a reality television show called "Hotel Showdown" which will be on Tuesday night at 8 p.m. The show features four different inn keepers. Each inn keeper will spend the night in each of the four hotels. They then rate the hotel in different categories. Eek! Being judged by your peers is always the hardest!

From there, whichever hotel has the highest ranking will be awarded twenty-five thousand dollars. That would be a nice chunk of change for Saundra Spanton, the manager of Copperstone Inn and Rich Spanton Jr. the inn keeper and owner.

I didn't have any television plans for Tuesday, but I'm happy I do now! I will have to tune in and root for our local Copperstone Inn!
