Jeopardy Champ James Holzhauer Donates Money to Naperville Woman
James Holzhauer is originally from Naperville, Illinois and recently spent A LOT of time breaking records on the game show "Jeopardy!".
Holzhauer's winning streak on "Jeopardy!" may have ended earlier this month, but his generosity and support of Pancreatic Cancer and the game show's host Alex Trebek's fight with it have not.
The Chicago Tribune reports,
A Naperville woman received a special donation from “Jeopardy!” champion James Holzhauer for a walk she’s hosting to raise money to find a cure to the same type of cancer that afflicts “Jeopardy!” host Alex Trebek.
Ann Zediker, like most people in Naperville and Illinois, got caught up watching James Holzhauer on Jeopardy!, so she was well aware of his connection to her hometown and his support of Alex Trebek's fight with Pancreatic cancer.
Zediker decided to email Holzhauer to see if he wanted to participate in Naperville's Pancreatic Cancer Research Walk on July 14, and although he couldn't be there in person, he said he would be happy to send a donation, which he did.
The Chicago Tribune says;
According to the donation website, Holzhauer gave $1,109.14 (astute “Jeopardy!” fans will recognize the amount as Natasha’s [his daughter] birthday) and left the message, “For Alex Trebek and all the other survivors.”
