C.A.R.E. for P.E.T.S  in Rockford, Illinois is warning all dog owners to get keep their pets secured after two dogs were suspiciously found dead on the street.

What Is C.A.R.E. for P.E.T.S.?

Before I tell you about the most disturbing and heartbreaking thing I saw on Facebook earlier this week, let me quickly explain to you what C.A.R.E. for P.E.T.S. is so you may better understand the services they provide our community.

C.A.R.E. for P.E.T.S. is a nonprofit organization that provides support to animals and pet owners in need in the Rockford area. The organization's name is literally an acronym for "County Animal Rescue Endowment for Providing Enrichment Through Support" and they often play instrumental roles in keeping pets with their families and out of local shelters. C.A.R.E. for P.E.T.S. is run completely by volunteers and public donations, and I'm pretty sure what I'm about to tell you will have you opening your wallets immediately.

A Heartbreaking Warning For Dog Owners

Earlier this week I saw a post from C.A.R.E. for P.E.T.S. that broke my heart and honestly made me sick to my stomach...

I understand it costs money that some people don't have to properly take care of a deceased pet's body but to leave it on the side of the road in a garbage bag is something my pet-loving heart just cannot handle. Then today, it got 10 times worse.

This afternoon C.A.R.E. for P.E.T.S posted a dire warning for dog owners after a second deceased dog was found in the street tied up in a garbage bag. Since I cannot find the words to describe how utterly disgusting, terrifying, and evil this situation is, I'm just going to let you read it for yourself.

I literally have tears in my eyes right now, and I'm going to warn you, this is extremely hard to read...

If you know ANYTHING about the sick individual responsible for these evil acts, PLEASE call C.A.R.E. for P.E.T.S. at 779-208-4060 and/or make a donation by clicking the "donate" button above.
