New Bounce House Adventure in Rockford

Late last week, my kids came running to me, full of excitement to tell me about the huge bounce house in Rockford that one of their friends had just told them about.

At first I was like, "Huh? I haven't heard about a massive bounce house opening in Rockford... are you sure your friend isn't mistaken?"

Then I opened up Facebook and immediately saw this post on my news feed...

After I got over being a little miffed that I hadn't heard about The Royal Duck Bounce Park coming to Rockford ahead of time, ahead of time, I started digging for more information just to confirm it was legit. (Yes, I am one of those people.)

What I found first was a little concerning.

Is The Royal Duck Bounce House Open in Rockford?

After typing "Royal Duck Bounce House Rockford" into my search bar I came across several people in the "What's Happening in Rockford, IL" Facebook group complaining about the bounce park not being open despite already buying tickets.

For anyone booking tickets for the world’s largest bouncy house…. City/state has not approved them to open yet… they said once they get approval they will open, and if they aren’t able to get approval before they close on August 16th, that anyone who paid the $10 deposit will be refunded.

As a parent I know how upsetting it can be when your excited children get disappointed. The good news is, The Royal Duck Bounce Park has finally received all its required permits and is officially open for bouncing fun in Rockford's Forest Plaza!

The Royal Duck Bounce Park will be open Monday through Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m. and Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. through August 16, 2026. Walk-up tickets are available, but you can save 10 percent on your admission tickets if you buy them in advance at royalduckusa.com.
