Thanksgiving Must-Haves

I may not know much about cooking and far less about preparing a proper Thanksgiving feast, but I do know this:

  1. Lots of carbs is encouraged on Thanksgiving and are always a crowd pleaser.
  2. Good bread is worth splurging on.
  3. No matter how stuffed we get, a Thanksgiving meal is not complete without dessert. (Or multiple desserts in my opinion!)

Per usual, I have been tasked with bringing the green bean casserole to my family's Thanksgiving meal, (I may be a terrible cook, but even I can't screw this dish up), and my mom also said: "You can bring a dessert too if you would like".

Now that I know I must bring a dessert, where should I go to buy delicious Thanksgiving treats in the Rockford area?
