In the state where we proudly have the World's Largest Mailbox, located in Casey, homeowners are being asked to take small but meaningful steps to improve their mailboxes.

Some recommendations from the United States Postal Service to improve the efficiency and appearance of your home mailbox include:

• Replacing loose hinges on a mailbox door.
• Repainting a mailbox that may have rusted or has started to peel.
• Remounting a loosened mailbox post.
• Replacing or adding house numbers
