Whenever someone mentions the "Home Alone House" located in Winnetka, Illinois, these are the images that automatically come to mind...

I know several people who have an annual tradition of driving by and taking a selfie outside of this iconic Illinois home each holiday season, and now we have the chance to live there because the house just hit the market!

This famous Winnetka house still looks basically the same on the outside, BUT it has undergone a MAJOR makeover since Kevin McCallister fended off those pesky Wet Bandits back in 1990, (and since 2021 when it was featured in an Airbnb promotion).

The once-charming abode has nearly doubled in size, boasting a swanky sunroom, a chef's dream kitchen, and – wait for it – a freaking sports court!

While the renovations are GORGEOUS, and I totally want to live here, I can't help but yearn for a little of that McCallister nostalgia.

Now for the big question...how much does it cost?

 $5.25 million

Yikes!

Is that too much to spend for a 5 bedroom, 6 bathroom house that is an important piece of cinematic history? Probably not.

Will the future owners need to accept hundreds of visitors taking selfies in front of their home during the holiday season? They darn well better!
