Ready or not Stateline, local meteorologists all agree that our first dance with fall temps is coming this weekend.  Now the big question is; how low will they actually go?

Bad News For Summer Lovers in Northern Illinois

To all the summer lovers in this community I want to start by apologizing for what I am about to say, but...fall is getting ready to make its grand return this weekend!

My idea of a perfect day involves enjoying plenty of sunshine outdoors in temps that still allow you to feel comfortable wearing a hoodie and jeans, and that is what the fall season is most beloved for.

Sure the vibrant colors of the changing leaves and the onslaught of everything pumpkin and cider donuts is cool too, but enjoying those things while sweating profusely is not my idea of a good time.

My daughters cheer for our local junior tackle team (Go DuPec Hornets!), and the first few games this season have been HOT, so I was overjoyed to see that this weekend's game will actually FEEL like football weather!

I may already have fall decorations up in my home, but even I know that summer isn't ready to make its grand exit, so no need to put away your swimsuits and close up your pools...yet.
