The Christkindlmarket in Chicago has announced dates and locations for the 2025 season, including a return to everyone's favorite location, Wrigleyville.

Christmas Time Is Coming

As I write this, Christmas is just over four months away. Can you believe that?!?

While some people may dread that fact, it fills me with excitement! I adore everything about the holiday season, from the decorations and treats, to the time spent with family and friends.

Honestly, my brain has been holiday-focused for several months now as I am already making ornaments to sell at local craft shows and events, so obviously, I'm already counting down the days until holiday fun can officially begin!

Ready for the good news?

Christkindlmarket Chicago just announced the locations (yes, there's more than one) and dates for the 2025 markets, and I was excited to see it's returning to Wrigleyville this year:

We are delighted to announce the return of its cherished holiday tradition for its 29th season at Richard J.Daley Center in Chicago, its 4th year at RiverEdge Park in Aurora, and - after a one-year pause - its return to Gallagher Way Chicago in Wrigleyville.

The dates and attractions for Chicago's Christkindlmarkets vary slightly by location, so you better get them marked on your calendar now:

  • Daley Plaza: “’Twas the Night Before Christkindlmarket” preview event is Thursday, November 20, followed by the full market running Nov 21–Dec 24 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. (Sun–Thu) and until 9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays; special holiday hours on Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve.
  • Aurora’s RiverEdge Park: This market is only open Thursday through Sunday starting November 21 through December 24. The hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturdays, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays. (Early closures on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Eve.)
  • Wrigleyville's Gallagher Way: This location will feature 25 vendors, an ice skating rink, a tree lighting and more. This market opens on November 23 and runs through December 31 from 3 to 9 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 3 to 10 p.m. on weekends, and will close early on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.

It doesn't matter if you want to find unique gifts for loved ones, or just want an excuse to experience Chicago during the holidays, these Christkindlmarkets definitely need to be added to this year's must-do list!
