In 1992, Woodstock, Illinois was the location for the filming of the Bill Murray and Andie McDowell film Groundhog Day.

The celebration of the furry little weather forecaster covers several days, beginning with the arrival of the town mascot, Woodstock Willie.

There are plenty of exhibits around downtown Woodstock, including a memorabilia exhibit at the library.

Groundhog Day Weather Forecast

Of course, the big event happens on the morning of February 2, when everyone gathers at Woodstock Square at 7 a.m. for the groundhog to do his thing.

WGN meteorologist Tom Skilling will appear this year at the big reveal, translating Willie’s climatic insights from “Groundhogese”, according to the dailyherald.com.

The Cherry Blossom Suite. This is the only room with a jetted tub and shower. The rest of the suites all have walk-in showers.

If you're into nautical themes, The Old Oak Room is for you. The room features an old ship steering wheel.
