We just can't catch a break over in Illinois, huh?  There might be more severe weather headed our way this weekend.

It's funny how the older I get, the more I check the Weather App on my phone.  I never thought I'd get to that adulting stage in my life.

Saw this on Facebook and figured I'd share what the weather might be like this weekend.

Meteorologist Joey Marino posted this to Facebook earlier today:

"SEVERE THREAT: With Friday's storm potential comes the risk for severe weather. Earlier this morning, the Storm Prediction Center placed the entire area under a level 2 slight risk...
There are a few uncertainties with Friday's severe potential. But from what it looks like, damaging winds and large hail are the biggest concerns. For now, stay up to date on the forecast, especially if you have any outdoor plans."

I've said this a handful of times, but I'll say it again: We get more rain during the summer than actual sunshine and I can't stand it.

We only get like three months to really enjoy warm weather, why does Mother Nature have to ruin it for us?!

Here's what the rest of the weekend will look like for Rockford if you are planning on being outside most of the days!
