Tip Jar & GoFundMe Set Up For Illinois Family Of Beloved Pinnon Employee
Life is so unpredictable. Peggy was a blessing in many peoples' lives in our community and put smiles on customers' faces every day at work. Rockford has come together with an overwhelmingly beautiful amount of love to honor Peggy and her family.
A tip jar has been set up at the local business and all proceeds will be given to the Anderson family to relieve some of their financial burdens during this difficult time.
Show your support and visit Pinnon Meats at 2324 N Court St in Rockford.
A GoFundMe has also been set up on behalf of the beneficiary in hopes to raise $10,000 for the family and funeral expenses.
Here's the tear-jerking message they posted on the page:
"For those of you who didn't get the chance to meet Peggy, she was a beautiful soul inside and out. When she walked into work every day her smile brightened up the back room, as it did everywhere Peggy went. The man who selfishly took her life will NEVER realize the impact she had in our store or on the hundreds/thousands of people she came in contact with every day. She has worked in the Bakery at Pinnons for two decades running it to perfection. She was the mastermind behind every delicious treat you have purchased from us. Not only was Peggy a part of our Pinnon Family, her children are as well. Because of our close bond, we feel the necessity to help relieve some of the financial burdens of her funeral and any other expense they might incur."
Our hearts are with the Anderson family and the Pinnon's staff. If you'd like to donate to the GoFundMe, you can visit the page here. The goal was set at $10,000, but of course family, friends, and our city have raised nearly $20,000 already. #PinnonStrong.
