For maximum free sample eating, time your visits. You'll see more free sample distributors on weekends as they are of course busier than weekdays, but the experts Mashed shared say Saturday is the best day for free samples as it's less busy than Sunday.

You can eat as much as you want. If my youngest knew this, savage mode might get switched on.

You do need to follow a few rules like refraining from grabbing an entire tray of samples. Just take one or two at a time, and don't camp out at the sample table, either.
