I couldn't believe my eyes when I walked into Home Depot in Rockford this week—Halloween decorations were already out in full force!

It’s still August, Summer is still here, but I guess we've decided to just fast forward to Halloween?!  I'm here for it, but how early is REALLY too early?

I ran to Home Depot over the weekend and noticed all the giant skeletons, spooky decorations, and inflatables were already for sale.  My friend works at Home Depot and shared these photos on Facebook!  Even she rolled her eyes seeing all of it haha.

Honestly, it’s not just the big box stores that are getting ahead of the competition.  Thrift stores got in on the action, too!  At Goodwill, they had carts full of fall items and shelves lined with spooky knick-knacks and home goods.

I mean, it’s great if you’re super into Halloween, but can we at least get through August before we start thinking about goblins and ghouls?  Fall doesn't even start until September 22nd!

It’s wild to see how early the Halloween is starting this year.  I heard Christmas merch is on its way already... say it ain't so.

I'm just trying to enjoy summer just for a few more weeks without having to think about holidays that are months away.  Is that too much to ask for?!

It makes me wonder—how early is too early to start celebrating Halloween?
