BestLifeOnline reported that 17 locations will be shutting their doors this month, plus 20-30 large format stores will be added to the closing list by the end of the year.
One Best Buy location in Algonquin, Illinois has officially closed for good.
Located at 1561 S Randall Rd in Algonquin, IL, this location has already permanently closed.
Other states with Best Buy locations closing include Tennessee, Missouri, Minnesota, California, and Texas.
Why is Best Buy closing multiple locations this year?

As these big box stores try to get back on their feet, so are employees who are losing their jobs. Though it's only a few locations as of right now, employees are getting hit the hardest.
