Small Wisconsin Town Among 2027’s Hottest Vacation Spots

Priceline dropped its hottest destinations for next year based on searches, and I actually went to one of them this past summer.

Bayfield, Wisconsin, was listed among the top ten spots for 2027, and my family and I spent the day there, and we even ended up taking the ferry out to the Apostle Islands.

Bayfield, Wisconsin Named One of 2027's Hottest Travel Destinations

I really didn't expect to see Bayfield on the list, even if Priceline felt the need to include a Wisconsin destination, because Madison, Wisconsin Dells, Door County, Minocqua, and even Milwaukee seem more popular. I guess the term there is "seem" because, based on what I saw with my own two eyes- droves of people and a city packed with tourists- you'd think Bayfield was ranked in the top ten for 2026 too.

There's plenty to do in Bayfield; along with eating and drinking, a trip to the Apostle Islands is a must. Check out the sea caves and go to Tom's Burned Down Cafe on Madeline Island, a legit burned-down bar that replaced its roof with a tarp years ago and has been a staple of the area ever since.
