Yuengling Is Finally Coming to Illinois, Here’s What You Need to Know
This is huge news for beer lovers. Yuengling, America's oldest brewery, is officially making its way to Illinois.
If you've ever had one of their iconic beers while on vacation or secretly envied friends or relatives who live in states where the delicious brew is sold, here's some great news.
In early 2025, Yuengling will be available in Rockford, Chicago, and across the state.
A Brewery With a Loyal Following
This move has been years in the making. Consider that Yuengling was founded in 1829 in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, and has had a loyal following of beer fanatics for nearly 200 years.
Despite its popularity, the brewery has been mostly regional, focusing on the East Coast and areas in the South.

Meanwhile, in Illinois, Yuengling fans have waited patiently or not-so-patiently for it to finally come to the Land of Lincoln, often filling trunks with the stuff when visiting a state with ample supply to get a fix.
What Brews Will Be Available?
So, what can you expect when Yuengling becomes available? You'll be able to buy their Traditional and Light Lager, as well as Golden Pilsner, and seasonal and specialty beers.
Rockford Locals, Get Ready
For us in Rockford, get excited. It appears Chicago will get first dibs, but it won't be long before it ends up in stores, bars, and restaurants across the entire state.
Imagine next summer with some Yuengling while kicking back on the Rock River. It sure sounds like a good time.
If you're a long-time Yuengling fan or trying it for the first time, this is big news for Illinois beer fans. Who knows, it might just become your next favorite beer.
