15 Major Illinois Retailers Will Be Closed On Thanksgiving Day This Year

It's that time of year when major retailers slowly hop on the bandwagon and close their stores on Thanksgiving Day.  The list continues to grow and grow every year!

It is always great news when employees get to spend this Holiday with family!  Especially when chances like this don't come often for many.

For many years, every place I ever worked at would stay open because they wanted to beat their competition in sales.

So that meant I wouldn't get any time to eat Thanksgiving dinner with family because I would be working before dinner was even ready.  Fortunately, I work for an amazing company now who takes care of their people!

I get it, but we all know we would rather be stuffing our faces with food than dealing with angry customers.

Don't lie, you know you are excited to be in a food coma and take a well-deserved nap afterwards.

Plus, companies have gotten way more lenient about time off over the years and I know families around the country really appreciate it.

So if you are wondering where you can and can't go on Thanksgiving or wanting to get your Black Friday shopping started early, these 15 major retailers you can find in Illinois announced they will be closed for Thanksgiving this year.  They'll be back open for Black Friday, though!
