Plane Full Of Rescue Dogs Crashed On Wisconsin Golf Course

Wisconsin did not expect this coming.

While flying through the sky a small plane lost both of its wings and crashed onto a Wisconsin golf course.

First responders found the twin-engine plane around the third hole of Western Lakes Golf Club after it crashed near the fifth hole

Aboard the small plane were 53 dogs and 3 people, all survived. The three adults on board sustained only minor injuries.

“I was in a building up here and didn’t hear anything, but there was a couple employees working on the course that heard this plane coming down and witnessed it hitting the fifth green, crashing between two trees, (going) through a marsh and another 100 feet through the second hole fairway and onto the third hole, where it uprooted another tree and came to a rest. In total, it skidded around a few hundred yards.”

The dogs were being transported from overcrowded shelters in southern states, Louisiana being one of them. The shelters also did not have the right types of medical treatments to offer the animals.

When both wings on the plane fell off, the pilot made an emergency landing on the course.

Golf course workers sprang into action when they witnessed the crash landing. They helped to collect the dogs who were running around through the snowy course scared and confused.

Investigators are looking into the case. The rescue dogs are being cared for by the Humane Animal Welfare Society and will be ready for adoption soon.
