Moline Police Hilariously Reminds You To Not Use Fireworks In Illinois
I've said it once and I'll say it again because it needs to happen. Whoever runs the social media account for the Moline Police Department needs a raise. I don't know who it is and I don't want to fully expose the mastermind behind these posts, but they are pure gold.
And when something is so funny with obviously good information you need to remember, it helps stick in your brain even more.
To remind you that it's illegal to use fireworks in the entire state of Illinois, Moline's finest took a solid analogical approach. Every analogy we could agree with and one even talked about farting.
Moline Police At It Again With Their Social Media Posts
In a long but well worth the read social media post on Sunday, the Moline Police Department wanted to accomplish one thing: to remind you it's illegal in Illinois to use fireworks. And did they do that.
With wit and strong but relatable analogies, this social media post made me about pee my pants from laughing so hard. The analogies that the Moline PD used covered things like rude people in an airplane, and explosive farts. They were also pretty open about Illinois legalizing one thing but not fireworks, or in layman's terms, get over it because you can legally use the devil's lettuce.
For those in Illinois who need reminding, or for those in Iowa who need a solid laugh today, here is the hilarious but serious reminder from the Moline PD to all of us as we get close to the 4th of July: Be a respectful neighbor and follow the law.
Thanks, Moline PD. Keep up the good work.
