A familiar house has popped up on the market this week.

For the first time in over a decade (and with a 200% higher price tag), the house at 671 N. Lincoln Avenue in Winnetka, Illinois is for sale.

The house was featured in the beloved 1990 Christmas movie "Home Alone", though there doesn't appear to be any iron burns or paint can dents from Kevin's antics.

That foyer and entryway still have a nostalgic feel for "Home Alone" fans.

According to the listing from The Dawn McKenna Group, it's a 5-bedroom, 6-bathroom 9,126 sq. ft. house. It was built in 1921 but updated and renovated in 2018 and has 3 garage spaces. The dark, undone basement where Kevin found supplies to fight the burglars is now a very nice sport court. The scary attic Kevin hid in is now a junior suite that offers "a magnificent treetop escape".

As you'll see, everything looks quite updated from the way the McCallisters had it in 1990. But the listing says that the house's current owners really "took the utmost care in maintaining the architectural detail and integrity of the home's most memorable and recognizable spaces".

The current owners did open it up for rent on Airbnb for one-night stays right before Christmas 2021. As you can probably guess, it sold out quickly.

All of us wondered what in the world the McCallisters did to afford such a nice big house even back then. Today, the house can be yours for a mere $5,250,000.
