Report: Missouri Getting Hammered by 3 Different Flu Viruses Now
I have a lot of friends in Missouri and I have a lot of friends in Missouri that are sick right now. That anecdotal observation agrees with a report from federal health agencies which show Missouri is getting hammered by 3 different flu variants right now.
I decided to research this as I had numerous people I know in Missouri that were sharing how sick they are. The Centers for Disease Control's "Fluview Interactive" map shows the Show Me State is currently dealing with a lot of sickness.
There are 2 pie charts which tell the story. The public labs view shows Missouri has 3 different flu variants making the rounds with H1N1 Type A being the most prominent as of this writing.
The Clinical Labs shows even more reports of flu in Missouri right now.
If there's good news about this flu outbreak in Missouri, it's that there's nothing truly unusual as Type A H1N1 along with Type B are the most common seasonal flus we normally deal with.

If you or someone you know in Missouri is sick, know that you're in good company. Many in the state right now in the middle of December are trying to shake off this nasty flu. Hopefully we're seeing the worst now with a decrease the closer we get to the end of the year, but that's likely just me wishful thinking.
