Illinois to Lose 9 Starbucks as 90 Close Nationwide
Many who get their daily coffee fix from Starbucks in Illinois will need to adjust their routine as the chain has announced the closure of 90 locations including 9 stores in Illinois.
I was really surprised to see this news shared today by Cheapism. They announced that Starbucks has made the decision to close all of their pick-up only locations which amounts to 90 places nationally. Their report is confirmed by USA Today, too. They say this closure announcement was made during a recent earnings call between Starbucks management and investors. Here are the Illinois locations that are set to close according to the list they just shared:
Starbucks, 55th & Woodlawn, Hyde Park
Starbucks, 227 W Monroe, Chicago
Starbucks, 555 S Dearborn, Chicago
Starbucks, 2063 N Clark, Dickens
Starbucks, Addison & Sheffield, Chicago
Starbucks, Golf & Higgins, Schaumburg
Starbucks, Lake & Waukegan, Glenview
Starbucks, Prentice Women’s Hospital, Chicago
Starbucks, Wrightwood & Racine, Chicago
When will these Starbucks locations in Illinois close?
According to the USA Today story, the closings will take place between this date and the end of 2026. There is no confirmation if the 90 pick-up only locations announced today will be the only closures or if there will be other stores closed in the future.
