Illinois Women are Allegedly Looking for Love in Running Clubs

I am so glad that I was granted a reprieve from dating more than 20 years ago. It's tough out there. Want more proof? There are reports that women in Illinois are now looking for love in a very unconventional place - running clubs.

I was never someone who drank alcohol so I never got involved with the bar scene during my younger days in Missouri. The fact that I looked like Opie Taylor from The Andy Griffith Show didn't help. Have I mentioned my wife has really bad eyesight? It's true, but that's a story for a different day.

I saw this story shared by DNYUZ about how women in Illinois are seeking relationships in a brand new place - running clubs. This was shared by one woman in Illinois who was (shocker) running.

Why are Illinois women turning to running clubs for relationship paradise? The article says "a montage of shirtless, good-looking men with ripped bodies". I have no words to add to that other than I haven't seen my abs in years.

I did some digging (awkwardly I might add) and found 39 Illinois running clubs if you're interested. Keep in mind that if you join them there are people in those groups who might not be interested in relationships, but just running. Bummer for you. That being said, the logic makes sense. If you're looking for someone who's in shape, no better place to look than a running club.

Now, if you don't mind, I'm gonna go sit down because I'm tired after writing about all this running.
