Stay Out of the Water – 25 Illinois Water Areas Suddenly Unsafe
You need to be as safe before you get in the water as you hopefully are when you're swimming. There are now 25 water areas in Illinois that have been declared too unsafe for swimming due to dangerous bacteria levels.
The Illinois Beach Guard system is constantly updated with water places that have had unsafe bacteria levels detected during recent tests. As of this writing, there are 25 places in Illinois you should avoid if swimming is your priority.
