A Popular Quincy Bar Just Closed Effective Immediately
The news broke this morning about one of the most popular bars in Quincy closing its doors effective immediately, but there is still hope for the bar, here are the details we know so far...
Revelry, a bar in Quincy on the square near Tiramisu, has announced they are closing. In a post on its Facebook page, it simply says...
"Effective immediately we will be closed permanently. We want to thank our customers for their loyal patronage. The business is for sale!! Thank you, Rusty and Paula"
Lost a great one
I have so many great memories from Revelry, from going out to drinks with my wife to taking my friends and family there for drinks after performing in a show at Quincy Community Theatre. Revelry was always serving up great drinks, in a great location, in a great atmosphere, for a fair price. I truly hope a new owner can come in and keep the place running!
One Closes, More Open
It is not all bad news for businesses in Adams County, according to a post on GREDF's Facebook page, Adams County saw a lot of new businesses open in 2023...
"Adams County is witnessing significant growth! The collaborative efforts of the Great River Economic Development Foundation (GREDF), Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce and The District are proud to announce that 77 new businesses have opened in Adams County throughout 2023."
While we mourn the loss of a great bar like Revelry, we can also celebrate the terrific achievement of adding 77 new businesses to Adams County in the last year, hopefully, we can do the same in 2024.
