This Trader Joe’s recall includes several products made with cotija cheese. The FDA, Food and Drug Administration, has asked them to pull the products and warn customers.

Fox17 reported that Rizo-López Foods produced the cotija cheese used to make those products. The company issued a recall earlier this week impacting multiple brands.

So far, there is evidence of adverse reactions and people getting sick reported, but Listeria is nothing to mess around with.

The CDC says signs and symptoms can vary, depending on the person. The bacteria are most likely to sicken people who are pregnant and their newborns, adults aged 65 or older, and people with weakened immune systems. Other people can be infected with Listeria, but they rarely become seriously ill.
