His name is Andrew Havemeier, four years ago alcohol and drugs led to him being without a home after losing his job and then being kicked out of his apartment. Sometimes it takes the worst to happen in order to find the best in yourself and with a little help, that is what Havemeier did.

Havemeijer enrolled in a recovery program at Guiding Light. He spent four months completing the program and then was able to re-enter the workforce by getting a job at Hall Street Bakery in Grand Rapids.

According to FOX 17, Havemejer got a job interview from the owner of Wealthy Street Bakery who also owns Hall Street Bakery, and landed a job as a manager. It wasn't long and he was managing both locations.

Talk about an amazing turnaround, 4 years after being on the street with addictions and nowhere to go, Havemeier, as of June 1, is now the owner of Wealthy Street Bakery and Hall Street Bakery. He is married with a son who is under two years old and now living the American dream.
