Summer in the Twin Ports means we need to get out and enjoy it when we can.  The season is generally short but thankfully there are lots of opportunities free or low cost for the whole family to enjoy.

One of my favorites to attend each year is the Ice Cream Social at Superior's Fairlawn Mansion.  The event has something for everyone including free tours of the famous mansion.

Culvers will provide the frozen custard, and music from Superior High School students will kick it all off.  There will also be a live magic show that will also include balloon animals, games for the kiddos, a sidewalk sale, car show, art fair, and much more.

The live music aspect of the Ice Cream Social will also include the City of Superior's Bayside Sounds and the featured artists for the evening are Breanne Marie and the Front Porch Sinners.

It all happens on Wednesday, July 17th from 5:30-8:30PM and while the mansion tours are free you need to be there early to make sure you can get in for that part of the night.  Keep in mind too, there will be some cost associated with certain games, for food, and the art fair if you want to make a purchase.  All of the proceeds will benefit new exhibits at the mansion, so it's all for a good cause.
