After Years in the Making, Michael Jordan’s Illinois Home Is About To Be Sold
Architecture and celebrity join forces at this epic mansion once owned by a sports legend.
Basketball icon Michael Jordan is officially close to his mansion in Highland Park being sold after being put up for sale 12 years ago in 2012.
This was my first time getting an actual look at the massive place, and I don't think I've ever seen a home quite like this one. Just looking at the front gate makes me feel really poor, haha!
Michael Jordan's Highland Park Mansion Finds a Buyer
The home officially sold this week for $14,855 million. It was first listed in 2012 with an asking price of $29 million.
According to the Chicago Sun-Times, the epic mansion sits on 7 acres of land and has 9 bedrooms, 19 bathrooms, a basketball court (of course,) cigar room, 14-car garage, a spot for golfing, a library, a pool AND a tennis court.
Hmm... seems like the only thing he's missing is a baseball diamond, bowling alley and his own movie theatre haha!
Take a look inside -- the amount of space and stuff inside is absolutely insane. I just wish I had the opportunity to see it in person.
I'm no sports fanatic, but even I would've loved to have seen Jordan play in a Chicago Bulls game. I'm not oblivious to his legacy, which is probably why someone like him had a mansion like this.
