It’s National Traffic Incident Response Awareness Week
Local first responders want you to be aware as you hit the road.
Police, fire, ambulance, all first responders want you to be aware of your surroundings when you travel.
At any given time there could be sirens and lights going around you. Do you know the how, why, and where to responding? This week also reminds us that the men and women that are on the streets doing construction work are putting their lives in danger.
The law states you must pull over and slow down when there are emergency vehicles approaching. These are the simple things we can do as civilians to keep our first responders safe as they protect and serve.
Slow down, keep your eyes peeled and pull over. Your response could help save a life.
