It’s Like A Book Club…But For Albums

I stared at my giant wall of CDs and thought, "I'll bet there are albums here that I haven't listened to for YEARS! Decades for a few of them".

At one time (before things got out of hand...both life and collection) I listened to every single CD alphabetically by band and chronologically by album.  There's no way I could do that now without blowing off the challenge by Cluch, "Elephant Riders".

I need to revisit them but I also want to listen to albums I don't own.  You know, expand my horizons a bit.  So, this is where I came up with the idea for The Book Club For Albums. (apparently, that's what I'm calling it)

If you want to participate, each week I'll give us an "assignment"...we'll all listen to it and reconvene on-air, online, via phone...where ever works for you and I'll post everyone's review.

So if you've got a favorite album or one you haven't heard forever...maybe an underrated album that deserves more attention, let me know and we'll put it on the list.

There was a time I may have been a bit obsessed with buying new albums. I kind of miss those days where I would just go to the record store for no reason other than to throw down 20-40 bucks on a couple albums I’ve never heard. Even though family and bills have taken precedence when I splurge, I splurge on the bigger LPs that take up even more space but look soo damn cool!
