OK, you can eat these at any point in the year...But summertime, these things get consumed ALL THE TIME. Illinois eats so many of these, they came in as the #2 state for devouring these. TheHD

When you go state by state, it really is eye opening. Illinois comes in 2nd, for consuming hot dogs. Per capita, Illinois people eat 317 hot dogs a year. Dang, Illinois. The #1 state is...West Virginia. What?? What is going on in West Virginia with the hot dog eating? 481 hot dogs a year. Wowsa!
