Flea markets have been in my world for as long as I can remember. Going to them is something my parents loved to do during the weekends so of course I was dragged along with them. I did learn to appreciate going to one.

We would travel all over including Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, Indiana, and more. It's funny because my parents didn't always buy anything. They just loved walking around and checking out all the neat stuff.

I've always thought the outdoor ones in the summer were the best. Those flea markets are huge. The items people would sell fascinated me along with what people would purchase. It was like a day of adventure.
I hadn't thought about going to a flea market in a long time. Then a couple of weeks ago, I was driving into Chicago on a Sunday. As I passed by the one in the Allstate Arena parking lot, it brought back lots of great memories.
