Make Some Extra Cash Picking Pumpkins at One Illinois Farm Next Month

I may be a bit premature on this, but yesterday I took down all the 'Hello Summer' type decor in my home. Yes, I realize it is technically still summer until September 22, but my kids' first day of school was yesterday and it feels like still having summer signs up in our home is just mocking them.

Back to my point now...Fall is just around the corner and many of our favorite local apple orchards are opening, (or have already opened) for the season this week. A couple of years ago, my family stumbled upon an awesome little farm along Route 2 that has a TON of pumpkins, gourds, and other produce items to choose from each year. It's called Thyme & Again Farm, and if you're looking for a place to get your favorite fall goodies without the massive crowds, you definitely need to check this farm out!

Thyme and Again Farm Needs Produce Pickers

As far as I know, Thyme & Again Farm is a small family operation, so I was shocked to see all the picked pumpkins and produce they had all over their grounds when we arrived. I can only imagine how much work and preparation goes on before they open to the public, and now I know how they get it all done in time...they pay people to help them!

Thyme & Again has not listed any minimum age requirement for fall harvest help, so this might be a great way for the entire family to make some extra spending cash and have some fun while you at it. Just send them a message on Facebook for more details.

When Is Opening Day for Thyme & Again Farm?

Thyme & Again's opening day for the 2022 season is set for Saturday, September 17th, and here's a little piece of advice from me to you...this farm also offers DELICIOUS, freshly baked pies which you can even preorder so you're sure to get one. You should definitely plan on doing that sometime this Fall season, and you can thank me later.
