Local police had to be called to an Illinois city after two families got into a fight with each other.

When I was growing up, going to family functions was always interesting. They all enjoyed their adult beverages, which was usually a few too many. That would lead to some arguments within the group.

Kids Start Brawl Between Two Illinois Families

Luckily, it never got any farther than some loud voices and mean words. As a kid, it still made me uncomfortable until I got used to it when I was a little bit older. I know some families will throw fists during arguments.

The fights within my family never went outside of our group. They didn't cause trouble with other families. I read stories all the time about families getting into fights with other families at businesses. That just seems really crazy to me. It's so childish.

It was a pleasant Sunday afternoon until Illinois police were called to a roller rink in Tinley Park. A fight started between a couple of kids. That led to their families getting into a brawl. Fortunately, no one was inured. No one pressed charges either.

The world has definitely changed a lot. When I was a kid, if something like that started, the parents would've immediately stopped it. The children would have been put in their place by the adults. Now, the parents are joining in. I think it's just sad. What kind of role model is that? The all should've been arrested.
