Getting To Wrigley Field Is Going To Suck For Illinois Drivers
Driving into Chicago during the summer is never fun, but this year is going to be even worse.
Major Construction Project Will Affect Trips To Wrigley Field
I'm a big fan of going to Wrigley Field for just about anything. I like the Cubs. I love going to concerts. The iconic stadium and neighborhood just have a great vibe, especially in the summer time.

There's only one thing that's bad about going to Wrigley Field. That's driving there. The traffic sucks on the highway. Then you have to navigate through Chicago side streets and that's no fun. Construction is going to make it worse.

According to the Illinois Department of Transportation,
The Illinois Department of Transportation announced today that repairs to the bridge carrying Addison Street over the Kennedy Expressway (Interstate 90/94), in Chicago, will begin, weather permitting, Monday, May 12.
If you're taking a trip to Wrigley Field this summer for a Cubs game, concert, or something else, I highly suggest planning ahead because of the road construction and traffic. Otherwise, you might not get there in time.
Taking public transportation is usually a much better way to go. Then you don't have to worry about parking around the stadium too. Give yourself plenty of time to get there. Check with IDOT for the latest construction project updates. Find alternate routes.

I know it's easier said than done, but try to stay relaxed and not get all stressed out on your commute to the game. Otherwise, it could ruin the day for you and the crew you're traveling with.
