If A Wisconsin Junkyard Is Abandoned Can You Tell The Difference
Can you tell the difference if a Wisconsin junkyard is abandoned?
What Is The Fascination With Abandoned Places
Is it not funny how we are interested in abandoned places, especially if it is somewhere we are familiar with. I guess it gives us some sort of sense of nostalgia. Also, I believe curiosity is part of it too.
We wonder what it is like inside. Sometimes, we even get a look behind the scenes where we normally do not get to go.
Junkyards Are Interesting Places
To be honest, I have never been inside a real junkyard. The closest I have ever gotten is seeing one on a television show or movie. Maybe, that is why I thought this video was interesting.
I know a lot of people who take advantage of them when they need parts for old machines, vehicles, and stuff like that. Plus, it is a good location to get rid of those items that the garage people will not pick up.
Let's Play A Game: Open, Abandoned, Or Hoarder
So I came up with an idea for a new game. You blindfold a contestant and take them to a junkyard. They have to decide if that business is open, closed and abandoned, or a hoarder.
I think that would be a really difficult question to answer because it is hard to tell the difference. As I was watching the video of this abandoned junkyard, I kept thinking to myself, how could you actually tell.
If you ever watch one of those hoarder shows on TV, that is how their homes look. Stuff just piled everywhere and not taken care of like a junkyard.
The Things You Can Find
I bet you could find some interesting things inside an old junkyard like this one. It seems to have a lot of items related to vehicles including cars. There are also a bunch of riding lawnmowers. That is why I kept thinking hoarder.
Wouldn't you want to take a couple of hours just to walk around and see what they actually have on the property? Can you say scavenger hunt?
