Over 3,000 guitarists showed up to Ian's home town to play "Smoke on the Water."

On September 6, 2014, 3,325 guitarists showed up to play "Smoke on the Water" with Deep Purple's Ian Gillan.

What a sight to see! This is a new UK Record! According to BBC news, the event was called 'Guitars on the Beach' and it was held in Gillan's home town of Lyme Regis, U.K.

This event is where guitarist from all over gather and play in support of various local charities the help causes in the English seaside town.
