As resident's of Rockton, Illinois are trying to get back to normal after the massive fire at the Chemtool plant, the company announces reimbursement opportunities.

It has been a very long week for the small village of Rockton, Illinois. On Monday (6/14/21), a giant 4-alarm fire burned the Chemtool/Lubrizol Incorporated facility on Prairie Hill Road to the ground. As those dangerous chemicals burned for several days, the black smoke filled the sky and could been seen from miles away.

As a safety precaution, the Winnebago County Health Department issued an evacuation of a one-mile radius on Monday, forcing residents to find another place to stay. That evacuation is still in effect, five days later.

While many may have found family or friends to stay with, others have had to scramble to find a hotel, or some other rental. And for those with dogs, finding a pace to stay gets een more difficult.

Chemtool is offering to reimburse residents' personal expenses tied to the evacuation. You have until October 31 to file your claim
