Hidden Gem Mini Golf Course in Illinois Might Be the Best Place to Play
You may have been to Volcano Falls before, but have you played the smaller course?
It's been quite an August already and it's only half way over.
You see, I had an awful first half of summer.
It actually started in the spring... in mid-April, I had a headache that I couldn't shake and it lasted over three months.
Then in late June, when I made plans to FINALLY take a an entire week of vacation for the first time since 2016, I got COVID again and I was super sick.
I know you're thinking... what does this have to do with mini golf?
Well, it does because since I'm feeling better all around, I made a LOT of plans in August including a huge weekend filled with concerts and nieces and nephews.
The biggest moments this weekend were spent with my nephew Anderson, who is seven and a half and loves mini golf.
On Tuesday we went to Volcano Falls in Loves Park, which he likes to remind people, I've only ever been there with him... and we golfed both courses which led us to wonder... which one of the two courses is the better one?
It's a legit question.
The one on the right is filled with volcanos and water and a whole bunch of pomp and circumstance, but the course on the left, which looks a lot more low-key, is actually much more challenging.
The other course... The Palm Course... is layered with dips and curves, that the above average mini golfer (you know, like me and Anderson) really enjoyed. It is a true Hidden Gem.
As you might guess, we are pretty well matched for the course and ended up with only a few strokes separating our scores on both courses.
Have you been to Volcano Falls recently? Have you golfed both courses?
We must know which course you like better!
P.S. Anderson also had some fun with me at the 97ZOK studios and at Good Day Stateline, so hopefully you had a change to listen and see him on the air, too!
