Greatest American Rock Bands List – Rockford’s ‘Cheap Trick’ is, Where???

From Ranker comes the "Top 100 Greatest American Rock Bands." Our local guys should be up a bit higher, if you ask me.

You get a little of everything on this list. Those that are classic rock icons, the rookie class of classic rock "grunge," some punk, some dirty hippy stuff and more... This list kinda reminds me of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, with funk and country artists making a list that says "rock bands." As long as you are from America, you qualify.

So where does Rockford's Cheap Trick fall on this list? I might be a little bias with this, but I think they are WAY too far down this list.

During my 25+ years of radio in Rockford, if you talk to a newer or older band and tell them you are from Rockford you will hear some variation of how they LOVE Cheap Trick. Their influence of rock music, is heard and felt constantly.
