The Rockford Police Department is making sure we are all ready for Halloween with a free event this afternoon for pumpkin carving.

Get your kids together and bring them over to RPD District 2 Gym at 1410 Broadway this afternoon for a really fun and really free pumpkin carving event.

The best part? You don't have to make a mess carving pumpkins at home. Nope, you let those kids make a mess with the awesome police officers who are throwing this pumpkin party.

'Pumpkins with Police' is from 3 until 5 p.m. this afternoon, first come first serve.
